Yay for Stash Catalogs

I have just come out of a yarn cataloging frenzy. It lasted 8 hours. My studio is cleaner, the yarn is away and I only have acrylics and novelty yarn to catalog now....that should only take another 4 hours... My trusty husband helped me out cleaning up and organizing but left for work 5 hours in. Who knew that this could be so exhausting?! Thanks to ravelry I had it easy. But then I made it more difficult on me now by adding photos of the colorways. But it will be good later because I will know exactly what I am looking at when I am designing something. It also helps with inventory. I better get off here before my eyes cross. So many things to make so little time! Oh eating would be nice.

Well I was interviewed for a blog a month ago and they just posted it yesterday. I was reading it today and I got a few chuckles out of it, I also thought,"I said that?" Well without further adieu here is the blog link, also check out the cowl I posted!

Fingerless Mitts

Yay for finishing, through sweat and tears I finished that second mitt. I kept losing my spot looking at the other mitt and instead of finishing by lunch I had already ripped it out twice. What really threw me for a loop, in the bad sense was the fact that I bound off and woven in the ends and then put them next to one another and realized I had bound off too soon and had to rip it out again...that would be the 5th time. Needless to say I am done and absolutely thrilled at that, its just an added bonus that I made a pair of fingerless mitts for me and they look beautiful. Now on to making beautiful things for other people.

Fingerless Mitts

So I had an extra skein from the sock project and I thought hmmm what to do? Well a friend was working on cashmere gloves said, "why don't you make fingerless mitts, you've been wanting to do them anyway." Brilliant, so I made up a pattern as I went and voila one mitt is finished and I absolutely love it! It is so soft and it is keeping my hand warm but also allowing me to move my fingers freely. I think I will go make another one now so that my other hand doesn't feel left out! I'll post a final picture once I'm done!
